Packington Christmas Craft Fair and Christmas Lights

There will be a Christmas Craft Fair at the Memorial Hall from 1pm on Sunday 1st December followed by the Christmas Lights switch on with carols at 6pm.

Community Speed Watch Results

In September, the Leicestershire County Council Speed Watch team carried out an exercise in Packington on three of our roads.

The results of the exercise are attached. As a result of the survey, they say that average speeds through the village are not high enough to warrant further action, such as the speed cameras the parish council have asked for.

Volunteers needed - Saturday 8th June - Recreation Ground

We are looking for help to carry out a few small odd jobs at the recreation ground.

We have another picnic seat to erect and another fun Bear waste bin to put on the recreation ground and there are other benches and seats which could do with a bit of TLC. We could also re-site the goals to let the present goal-mouths recover.

Temporary Closure of Hall Lane, Packington

A temporary road closure will be in place on Hall Lane, Packington from 7 May for up to 7 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Western Power Distribution to facilitate new connection.


The proposed alternative diversion route will be via:- High Street, Bridge Street, Mill Street and vice versa
