Packington Parish Council joins the nation in mourning the death of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.

The country has now entered a period of National Mourning which will last until the funeral on the 17th April.

Notice of Election of Parish Councillor

A group of parishioners have called for the casual vacancy on the council to be filled by Election.

This will take place on the 6th May, at the same time as County Councillor and Police Commissioner elections. Please see the attached Notice of Election for more information about how to apply and how the process will work.

You can become a councillor as long as you are:

  • British or a citizen of the Commonwealth or European Union
  • At least 18 years old
  • Registered to vote in the area or have lived, worked or owned property there for at least 12 months before an election.

Packington Parish Council meet monthly, on the first Tuesday of the month. At the moment all meeting are virtual.

It was with great sadness that the Parish Council learned of the passing of Ian Dring a dedicated councillor for 40 years and friend.
